Plus, its extra large LCD and big keys make it even easier to use! It's new printer makes double-checking or recording figures a breeze, and increases accuracy.
Dimensional Math & Conversions
Works in all dimensional formats: quickly add, subtract, multiply, divide and convert in feet-inches-fractions, decimal feet, decimal inches, inches and fractions, yards, meters, centimeters, millimeters, board feet, as well as square and cubic formats.
Handles all fractions-1/2's, 1/4's, 1/8's, 1/16's, 1/32's, 1/64's
Work in fractions for all sorts of dimension problems. You can even set fraction denominators to display your desired accuracy (in above fraction formats).
Complete Right-Angle Solutions
Instant square-ups, slopes, rafter lengths and rake wall solutions. No more formulas or memorization of Pythagorean theorem! The Pitch, Rise, Run, Diagonal/Common, Hip/Valley and Jack keys easily find rafter lengths. You can even find irregular Hip/Valley and Jack rafter lengths, as well as rafter cutting angles!
Enhanced Jack Rafters
Display jack rafter lengths in ascending or descending order for regular- or irregular-pitched roofs. Or set jacks spaced to mate.
Enhanced Rake Walls
Display rake wall stud lengths in ascending or descending order. Or, include a base height.
Automatic Stair Calculations
Finds the number of risers, treads, riser height, tread width, and any underage or overage for stairway layouts. Now calculates an entire stairway based on the entry of a floor-to-floor rise. Also calculates stringer length and angle of incline.
Complete Circle Solutions
Solves circumference, circle area, arc lengths for columns, post holes, pillars, as well as solving circular segments.
Instant Area & Volume Calculations
For fast & accurate material estimates, such as finding volume of concrete.
Trigonometric Functions
Sine, cosine, tangent, arcsine, arccosine, arctangent are included, in case you need additional trig. solutions.
Weight per Volume Key
Lets you convert between weights (lbs, tons, kg) and find weights of any material (e.g., tons per cubic yard).
Board Feet Key
Helps estimate material amounts and costs of lumber.
New Material Estimation Keys
- Block key finds quantity of concrete blocks required
- Brick key finds quantity of "Face" or "Paver" bricks
- Column key calculates volume and surface areas of columns
- Cone key finds volume and surface areas of cones
- Footing key finds volume of concrete required for footings
- Roof key finds roof area and quantity of bundles of shingles
Built-in Paper Printer
Lets you record your calculations or estimates, double-check your answers, or view your calculations, step-by-step, on paper. You can even Auto-Print or automatically print all multiple-answer solutions (like Stairs, Rafters) with a single press of a button-this saves keystrokes.
"Smart" Fraction Setting
Saves keystrokes by entering preset fraction denominators for you, from 1/2 to 1/64.
User-Set Preferences
Allows you to set preferred dimensional formats and customize rafter/rake wall calculations.
Three Memory Storage Keys
Lets you permanently store constants or figures for later use.
Standard Calculator
Also works as a regular math calculator, for your everyday math needs.

Testimonials
I use it on every house. I just tote it like I do nails in my nail apron. You really need one if you are going to put rafters on a house. It's just highly invaluable. You figure up the measurements one time and you cut the rafters. You don't have to check them. It's right.

I was using it the first day I bought it. It was simple. It had the book. I would tell them (other contractors) that you can't build a house without it.

On figuring rafters, it saves I guess 30 minutes on laying out. You can use the calculator for doing the measurements and put your rafters up there and cut them and try them and they work. They really are handy and do a great job for us.

It's user friendly. The keys are all self-explanatory. Real easy to find and easy to operate. I would say it's definitely worth the money. Go ahead and purchase it 'cause it will save you a lot of time.

I use mine to figure concrete, square footage, figuring out my steps, laying out my steps for concrete. It's very handy. And you've got about 8 or 9 items you can do in there real easy, for anybody that knows how to use a calculator. It's not that hard to figure out because it comes with a little instruction book and there are some things I have learned. It's really nice. I would recommend it very highly to another contractor, or anybody that's working in any kind of construction business. Framing, concrete, whatever.

It's set up so that carpenters or guys that are in the trades have an understanding of how to give the data inputs so they can get the answer out. I would say it's definitely a worthwhile investment. I lent one of mine to one of my supers last week and had to go down and pick one up at the lumberyard just on the way out to stake out a house, so that I could get my quadrants down quickly with the owners. So, every builder should have one.

As a technical director, I have to figure out a lot of different measurements for a lot of different purposes. Instead of hours, calculations now take minutes, and I can get a lot more done in a shorter amount of time. I would definitely recommend this to any technical director, simply because the formulas that we use most are already in the calculator. You just need to push one button and everything is figured out for you, which means things get done in less time with less errors.

I highly recommend it because it is an easy tool to work with. If you have to do calculations, especially for onsite work, I highly recommend it. It's durable, it holds up and it's accurate.
