Introduction

The ProjectCalc Plus Feet-Inch-Fraction calculator will help solve 100's of building and home improvement projects. Prevent estimating errors. Instantly calculate the amount of material you need: Paint, Wallpaper, 4 x 8 Sheets, Bricks, Blocks, Decks, Fencing, Concrete, Mulch, Carpet, Tile and more! Store 'user defined' quantities and dimensions. This is the perfect addition to every tool kit. Design, apply, install and finish your improvements with precision and confidence.

  • Work in Yards, Feet, Inches, Fractions and Meters – including square and cubic formats. Convert between all standard building math dimensions.
  • User may define and store values for materials such as Grout, Fence Post Spacing, Custom Tile, Board Width, Bags of Concrete, Paint Coverage and more
  • Solve square-up diagonals for truer construction.
  • Calculate board feet.
  • Works as a standard Math calculator with +/-, x. – , %, Memory and Auto Shut-Off.
  • 360-Degree flip-over, hinged protective hard case

What It Does

The ProjectCalc Plus eliminates error-prone dimensional math (e.g., involving feet-inch-fractions) or conversion calculations usually performed by hand or a regular calculator. It also helps you figure areas, volumes and quantities required for many commonly used building materials.

Features:

Dimensional Math & Conversions
Works and converts in: feet-inches-fractions, decimal feet, decimal inches, inches, fractions, yards, meters, as well as square and cubic formats.

Handles all Fractions-1/2's, 1/4's, 1/8's, 1/16's, 1/32's, 1/64's
Work in fractions for all sorts of dimension problems. You can even set fraction denominators to display your desired accuracy (in above fraction formats).

Square-ups
Easily solves right triangle problems. Finds the diagonal, so you can "square up" to make sure an area is perfectly square (e.g., for pouring concrete pads).

Project Material Keys
Calculate order quantities for the following building materials:

  • Bricks and Blocks
  • Drywall
  • Gravel
  • Lumber
  • Paint
  • Roof Shingles
  • Studs
  • Tiles
  • Wallpaper

Solve "Reverse" Calculations
e.g., How many square feet will five gallons of paint cover?
The calculator is also easy and straightforward-no confusing keys or functions. Plus, it can be used as a standard calculator for your everyday math needs.

We are wallpapering and putting in tile and carpets, etc. all through the house, and I must say, this ProjectCalc has been such a help! No headaches from all the math problems. It has saved a lot of time and cost. We would have had too many materials without it. Thanks for this GREAT product. I wish I had it years ago.

As a quick check for estimates to final calculations on site, this has been a great time and money saver for both myself and my clients. A very handy pocket reference tool.

Hello Everyone,
I purchased this little gem after my Radio Shack EC-317 went south for the winter, summer, spring and fall.(I guess after 12 years of service, it has a right to kick-off)I had one heck of a time finding SOMEONE, that could tell me what this Material Calculator could actually do. Calculated Industries makes several models to choose from, including this model (ProjectCalc Plus) which range in price from [money amount]. I chose the ProjectCalc Plus because, what I was looking for was, a calculator that would convert decimals to fractions and then back again. Mind you ALL the Calculated Industries models will do this BUT, the ADVERTISING on the packaging isn't CLEAR ON THIS!!! The biggest problem I had, was just finding out EXACTLY what this little unit would or wouldn't do.

After all is said and done, I think this unit is a great deal for the price([money amount]). Mind you, it won't find run and rise for stair treads but, it does just about everything else. If I have anything negative to say about the unit, it's this, my tired old eyes have one heck of a hard time reading all the writing around the buttons on it. Perhaps someone from Calculated Industries will read this review, and put this problem before the design team for an improved version?! So, do you need to spend [money amount] for a calculator, perhaps, but I DIDN'T and I'll bet that MOST folks won't have to either.

To conclude, it's a good unit at a fair price.
