Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC)
The Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC) was set up jointly by the Planning Commission, Government of India and the Indian Construction Industry. It was incorporated as a Registered Society under the Societies Registration Act. The CIDC will be representative of the various segments of India’s Construction Industry, and will seek to further its collective interests. The Council will, for the first time in the country, provide the impetus and the organisational infrastructure to raise quality levels across the industry. This would help to secure a wider appreciation of the interests of construction business by the government, industry and peer group in society.
