High Speed Ground Transportation Association, USA
The High Speed Ground Transportation Association was organized in 1983 to advocate the integration of high-speed ground transportation service in North America and world-wide as a neccessary addition to existing transportation networks.
Hong Kong Construction Association (HKCA)
The Hong Kong Construction Association (HKCA), formerly Building Contractors' Association, was established in 1920 with the aim of improving the construction industry's standards in Hong Kong. The HKCA now has about 350 members representing local and overseas contractors operating in Hong Kong. In order to maintain a good relationship with overseas construction associations, the HKCA joined the International Federation of Asian and Western Pacific Contractors' Association (IFAWPCA) in 1958 and has been an active member since then.
Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA)
Today, The Hong Kong Insitute of Architects has more than 1400 full members and over 200 associate members and graduate members. The Institute is governed by a Council formed by a President, two Vice-Presidents, an Honorary Secretary , an Honorary Treasurer and 12 Council members. The Council appoints 4 Boards, each charged by a member of the Council, to deal with specific areas in the objectives of the Institute. They are the Board of Internal Affairs, the Board of Overseas Affairs, the Board of Educational Affairs, and the Board of Local Affairs. These Boards in turn appoint committee to deal with matters within the area of responsibility of the board.
