The purpose of NABIE is to lead and advance the integrity, value and understanding of the practice of professional engineering as it applies to the inspection, investigation and evaluation of buildings and homes. In 1990, NABIE became an affinity group of the 70,000 member National Society of Professional Engineers. National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE), USA The National Association of Corrosion Engineers was established in 1943 by eleven corrosion engineers in the pipeline industry. These founding members were involved in a regional cathodic protection group formed in the 1930s, when the study of cathodic protection was introduced. With more than fifty years of experience in developing corrosion prevention and control standards, NACE International has become the largest organization in the world committed to the study of corrosion. National Association of Minority Contractors (NAMC), USA The National Association of Minority Contractors (NAMC) is a non-profit trade association that was established in 1969 to address the needs and concerns of minority contractors. While membership is open to people of all races and ethnic backgrounds, the organization's mandate, "Building Bridges - Crossing Barriers," focuses on construction industry concerns common to African Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanics, and Native Americans. National Council of Structural Engineers Associations (NCSEA), USA The National Council of Structural Engineers Associations (NCSEA) was formed to constantly improve the level of standard of practice of the structural engineering profession throughout the United States, and to provide an identifiable resource for those needing communication with the profession. National Concrete Masonry Association (NCMA), USA The National Concrete Masonry Association (NCMA), established in 1918, is the national trade association representing the concrete masonry industry. The Association is involved in a broad range of technical, research, marketing, government relations and communications activities. NCMA is an association of producers of concrete masonry products, and suppliers of products and services related to the industry. NCMA offers a variety of technical services and design aids through publications, computer programs, slide presentations and technical training. National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), USA NEMA, with headquarters in Rosslyn, Virginia, has nearly 500 member companies, including large, medium, and small businesses. The organization is divided into eight divisions: Industrial Automation, Lighting Equipment, Electronics, Building Equipment, Insulating Materials, Wire and Cable, Power Equipment, and Diagnostic Imaging and Therapy Systems. Within the eight divisions are approximately 70 product-specific sections, which hold primary responsibility for development and maintenance of up-to-date product standards. National Roofing Contractors Association's, USA (NRCA's) Established in 1886, the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) is one of the construction industry's oldest trade associations and the voice of professional roofing contractors worldwide. It is an association of roofing, roof deck, and waterproofing contractors; industry-related associate members, including manufacturers, distributors, architects, consultants, engineers, and city, state, and government agencies; and international members National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), USA The National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) is the only engineering society that represents individual engineering professionals and licensed engineers (PEs) across all disciplines. Founded in 1934, NSPE strengthens the engineering profession by promoting engineering licensure and ethics, enhancing the engineer image, advocating and protecting PEs' legal rights at the national and state levels, publishing news of the profession, providing continuing education opportunities, and much more. NSPE serves some 60,000 members and the public through 53 state and territorial societies and more than 500 chapters. National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA) The NSCA is the leading not-for-profit association that represents the commercial electronic systems industry. With a slate of more than 2,400 corporate and individual members worldwide, the NSCA is a powerful advocate of all who work within the low-voltage industry, including systems contractors/integrators, product manufacturers, consultants, sales representatives, a growing number of architects, specifying engineers and others. Netherlands Architecture Institute (NAI) New York Building Congress (NYBC), USA The Building Congress provides a unique forum to advance an industry-wide agenda focusing on economic and infrastructure investment, job creation and professional exchange. These goals require the dedicated involvement and cooperation of the contractors, architects, engineers, unions, real estate managers, developers and owners who comprise the building community. New Zealand Institute or Architects (NZIA) The New Zealand Institute of Architects represents some 85 per cent of all registered architects in New Zealand. It is a professional body supporting the needs of its members through a range of services. But it also has another role; it is committed to promoting architecture which enhances the living environment of all New Zealanders. New Zealand Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NZIQS) The NZIQS was established in 1978 through an amalgamation of The Building Surveyors Institute of New Zealand and the Quantity Surveyors Institute of New Zealand New Zealand Planning Institute (NZPI) |
